Battle of Britain Rose Bowl

Trustees recently presented the Battle of Britain Rose Bowl to the Solway Aviation Museum for safekeeping, and you will be able to view it as part of their permanent RAF Kirkbride exhibition. It was originally given by No. 12 Maintenance Unit  Kirkbride to the Cumberland Federation for annual competitions, possibly in recognition of female pilots who had flown planes from RAF Kirkbride to other airfields around the country during the 2nd World War.
