WI Office reopens

The office reopens to members on 13 October from 10 am to 1 pm, and thereafter every Wednesday and Thursday from 10 am to 1 pm. We look forward to seeing members again!

Centenary Mug

These lovely mugs are hand-made at Brougham, near Penrith, and have been specially commissioned to celebrate the Federation Centenary. Costing £9, contact Federation Secretary Sandra Rogerson if you would like one.

New Trustees

The Board of Trustees are delighted to welcome three new members: Marion Clarke, Santon Bridge WI; Dawn Eyre, Causewayhead WI; and Ann Kirkpatrick, Longtown WI.

Latest 200 Club winners

Climate Ambassador

Anne Baird is a member of Lorton WI, and has recently joined the NFWI Climate Ambassador scheme. Ambassadors promote the WI aims and resolutions to protect the planet and encourage members and communities to be as environmentally sensitive as possible. Annual Council Meeting 2019

Were you here? CCFWI held another successful ACM at the Richard Rose Morton Academy. We heard excellent speakers from Safe Families for Children and Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team, and were entertained by the fantastic Ewanrigg Community Choir. WI celebrates its 100th birthday

Some WIs in the Federation celebrate their centenaries this year: they were formed even before the Federation, which celebrates its centenary next year! Scotby WI is the oldest in the Federation, and the photo shows members and guests enjoying their birthday celebration recently.

NFWI AGM 2018, Cardiff

This year’s resolution, ‘Mental health matters’, was passed with a resounding 98% vote in favour. The day was enjoyed immensely by delegates and Trustees, as you can see from the photo!
